Why PhotoFu? Kung Fu (loosely speaking) is the cultivation of chi (life force or
energy) and directed to the physical. Photo Fu, a term invented by me, is chi directed to photography.
The photographs on this site resonate with me either emotionally or aesthetically.
I have always had at least passing interest in photography. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in either my Dad's darkroom, or the one at school. But it wasn't until the advent of digital photography that my interest really sparked. It was due to the instant feedback, the ability to capture a large number of photos without changing and developing rolls of film, and the lighter weight of smaller lenses.
My photographic goals at the moment are to work more with digital near-infrared
photography, and to strive for better composition.
Most of the photos on this site are for sale as mounted
prints, either framed or unframed. Use the contact form if you are interested.
Also, photos are available for other uses. For example, recently
my photos have been used in an Earth Day EPA brochure and poster, and
the BCNA newsletter.
Thanks to David Lenton
from Australia for designing the graphics used on this site (top banner
and menu on left). Together we make a good web design team with me programming
the code and David designing the graphics.
